CBS Soccer wishes to thank Darrin Bent for his two-decade long dedication to the Club as he has announced he will finish up in the position of General Manager this December.
For the past 11 years as CBS Soccer's General Manager Darrin has helped grow CBS Soccer into one of the largest sports organizations in the province, through the development of programming that services youth through senior level players.
Over those eleven years Darrin and his team have helped oversee the co hosting of 6 National Championships, the hosting 4 Atlantic Championships, the NL Summer Games, and every major provincial tournament including the 2022 Challenge Cup Championship.
Through program development Darrin, with the support of the Board and staff, has introduced popular programs such as Tots soccer for players as young as 18 months, skills training programs, expanded soccer summer camp and the women’s 25+ Sunday league.
Previous to his time as General Manager, Darrin spent 10 years serving the club as a member of the Board of Directors.
“Over the past twenty-one years it has been a pleasure to work with a great team to grow soccer in our community. I have had the pleasure of working with some incredible young people who take pride in their community. I know that with the dedicated coaches and volunteers, staff and Board the club is poised for continued success into the future.” Darrin Bent
Darrin has assured us he will still be available for any assistance we may require as we head into our 50th Anniversary year in 2025 when we will be proudly hosting the Canada Games and the Senior National Championships.
We wish Darrin all the best and thank him for his years of contributions to the Club.
